Slowly getting back into the groove
Before diving in again in the depth of the Maya shading networks for the Project 2 of Maya Fundamentals, I had to make another shader just to get used to the Hypershade again.
With a quick Google search, I found a very cool, and not too hard, shader tutorial: A Lava Shader.
This was a great exercice to get back into the groove and learn a thing or two. Here's the result.
The brick shader is a downloaded shader just for the scene. The tutorial can be found here.

Moved In
And got my "Intarwebs" setup
I'm back and kicking. This was a pretty exhausting few days, with all the moving. We're still (slowly) setting everything up, but we already know that we love the place.
Now that my computer is setup, I'll be able to continue Project 2 of the masteringMaya: The Fundamentals training. I should start shading the spaceship and the alien very soon.
